When our office is closed and a customer calls our number for service, they speak with a staff member of our answering service, who then immediately calls us at home. We then call our customer back to take care of their service problem - regardless of the time of day, we stay on top of the service call until our customer’s problem has been resolved. We have a proven track record of getting a serviceman out to a customer’s home in a very short period of time.

Our motto is “Customer Satisfaction at a Fair Price. . . Our Business Depends On It” and we take that very seriously. We enjoy a solid reputation of dedication to servicing our customers by going that “extra mile” to ensure customer satisfaction. We provide service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our office, located at 150 Washington Street in Limerick, is open 7 days a week, 364 days a year, closing only on Christmas Day to spend the Holiday together as a family. Our office hours are:

The Station is still family owned and operated: by his son John H. Carroll (until his passing) and now by John H. Carroll’s children: sons Jim & Sean, and daughters Lisa & Diane, with a fourth generation in training. 

With John H. Carroll’s passing away on December 28, 2007, the family tradition continues and the values taught to his children live on in the daily operations as envisioned during his semi-retirement in the most recent years. Both John P. Carroll and John H. Carroll would be proud to see their legacy of “A Family Tradition of Loyal Service” continue on into the future.

Over the years our employees have also been valued members – each one contributing to our growth while maintaining our focus on people first and providing the best possible customer service.

To service the needs of the local mill which operated 3 shifts, John could frequently be found pumping gas from very early morning into the late evening hours - oftentimes eating his meals between taking care of customers. This dedication to customer service and customer satisfaction laid the foundation for what is today a full service gas station with 4 fuel oil delivery trucks servicing a wide customer base throughout York, Oxford, and Cumberland Counties.

From his retirement in 1984 until shortly before he passed away in 1994, John continued to come to “The Station” every day and even go out on an oil truck. He took great pride in helping to train new drivers and encouraged his grandchildren to participate in the business.

J.P. Carroll Fuel Company is a third-generation family-owned business started in 1946 by John P. Carroll and his wife Mary as a 2-bay, 2-pump service station with a single truck to deliver fuel oil.  John pumped gas, provided service for vehicles and - with Mary filling in for him at the pumps – delivered fuel oil to his growing local customer base.
